My Father's Mustache has partnered with Empower UC as a certified employer! Empower Upper Cumberland is based on the region-wide mission to lift 1,600 children and their families out of poverty by 2025, Empower Upper Cumberland (Empower UC) is comprised of key regional partners, including Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation, Highlands Economic Partnership, Tennessee Tech University, Upper Cumberland Development District, Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency, Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Development Board, and WCTE Central TN PBS.

Cookeville Baseball Softball Association offers kids the opportunity to learn the game of baseball and softball. Kids can choose from T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Baseball and Fast-Pitch Softball. My Fathers Mustache was honored to be able to sponsor a team for the 2023 season.

The team at UCFC also works hard to support families by hosting and providing special events, establish community support through Foster Friendly Partners, and provide opportunities for fellowship with other foster/kinship families with “Connecting Families”. We are active participants in back to school haircuts for these families each year.

Living life “Beyond the Burns,” that’s the mindset of our guest Mitch Harrington as he makes an effort to take a situation of horror and turn it into an outlook of hope and healing. Harrington, a lieutenant with the Cookeville Police Department, holds a special place in his heart for burn survivors, especially those who are children.

“Harrington For Hope is my way of giving back, a way to say thank you to all of those who helped and prayed for me after the fire, and to pay it forward for these kids,” added Harrington. “It is emotionally healing for me as well, to have an impact in providing a fun experience, free of judgment, where everyone has scars, and these kids can just be kids. As a counselor at Camp Hope, I get to see first hand how this experience changes these children in a positive way in just a short period of time”.

We are active participants in giving of our time to the success of Camp Hope each year.

Tennessee Tech will achieve national prominence and impact through its engaged students, dedicated faculty, and career-ready graduates known for their creativity, tenacity, and analytical approach to problem solving. We are active participates in donating to Greek Life, Residential Life, and the Parents Association.

Rising Above Ministries exists to provide special-needs families with support, encouragement, inspiration, and community through events for the whole family. Our motivation to do this is based in our belief that God deeply loves all families and wants them to know that love in an authentic and meaningful way.

The Tim Tebow Foundation is committed to serving and celebrating people with special needs. Currently, we are reaching this demographic via four key initiatives: Night to Shine, Shine On, International Education & Resource Centers, and International Special Needs Coalitions.
